Srilanka’s state owned oil corporation workers called a 04 day ‘work-to-rule’ protest in last week. the strike ended the beginning of this week and Ceylon petroleum Corporation union says they will go for another massive activity to protest government if the salary increase not received.

Immediately after the end of CPC strike, 04 other major Unions decided to start island wide strike over CPC claims. The unions of Ceylon Railway, CEB, Water Board and Ports said they will commence their protests over salary increase in next couple of weeks.

Ranjan Jayalal, the convener of the CEB told that they have decided to stage a massive protest campaign next Wednesday in Colombo as a pre warning of its island wide strike.

Government says that these are sabotage activities to disturb the life of public in srilanka.
In last week JVP union leader MP Lalkantha said that they will go for a massive protests against government due to the problems of workers.
